A Card Deck is a customizable and extensible content container. One to four cards per deck are available. Two options are available for the background and two for theme, along with the option to make the card branded and outlined. Add images, links, buttons, and decoration to create a unique card deck.

Card decks help organize similar groups of content in the same format that users can scan quickly. For example, news articles or a group of resources.

Use when you want to feature a collection of pages on your site. For example, you may want to direct people to up to 4 of the most important resources or pages on your site and indicate what the user can expect to find on those pages.

• Make cards actionable. Since cards are used as a summary of more detailed information, any individual card should link out to that information.
• Make sure images are properly sized. Cards often change size depending on the device. Make sure you use an image that works well on any device at any size.
• Use with feeds (news)

Don’ts

• Don’t use with large amounts of text
• Include non-redundant content. Don’t repeat images or content common to all or most cards in a collection. Repeated information (like using the same image for each card in a collection) makes it more difficult to distinguish cards from one another.
• Avoid putting cards that have images in groups with cards that don’t have images.
