Description
Quotes display an impactful quotation from a person. They lend authenticity to website content by showing where information comes from and can also break up space on a page. Use this when you want to show testimonials about the benefits of your program or initiative.
Dos and Don’ts
Do
- Limit to one or two sentences
- Relate the quote to the surrounding content
- Provide the source’s name, attribution and headshot (if available)
Don’t
- Avoid using if the content is not attributed to a person or meaningful source
- Don’t overuse on a page. Many quotes can lose their impact.
